RingOn Terms of Service

Overview

This website (the "Site") is operated by RingOn. RingOn is developing a wearable safety ring designed to function as a GPS tracker and personal safety device, activated by a simple thumb motion. The ring is currently in development and not yet available for purchase.

 

The Site currently allows visitors to learn about the RingOn ring and join our waitlist by placing a refundable $9.99 reservation. RingOn Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, supports survivors of trafficking and child safety initiatives and is referenced on this Site in connection with donation options.

 

Throughout this Site, "we", "us", and "our" refer to RingOn. By visiting the Site or placing a reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

 

These Terms apply to all users of the Site, including visitors, reservation holders, and anyone who submits information through the Site. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

The Site is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides our e-commerce platform.

 

Section 1 - Eligibility and Account Terms

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are the age of majority in your state of residence. You may make a reservation on behalf of a minor child in your care.

 

You may not use the Site or its services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, or in violation of any applicable law. You must not transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature. A breach of any of these Terms may result in immediate termination of your access to our services.

 

Section 2 - General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

 

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the Site or its services without our express written permission.

 

You understand that certain content (excluding credit card information) may be transmitted unencrypted over various networks. Credit card information is always encrypted during transmission.

 

Section 3 - Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information on this Site, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free. Information on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision.

 

Because RingOn is a product in development, features, specifications, pricing, and timelines described on the Site are subject to change before launch. We reserve the right to update or modify Site content at any time without notice.

 

Section 4 - Modifications to Services and Pricing

Pricing for reservations and any future products is subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Site or any part of our services at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

 

Section 5 - Reservations and Products

The $9.99 ring reservation available on this Site is a pre-launch waitlist reservation, not a purchase of a physical product. Placing a reservation secures your place in line for RingOn at launch and applies your $9.99 as a credit toward your purchase.

 

The reservation is fully refundable at any time before your credit is applied at launch. See our Refund Policy for full details.

 

We reserve the right to limit reservations per person, per household, or per order at our sole discretion. Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided for informational purposes and may change before launch.

 

Section 6 - Billing and Account Information

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information for all reservations and purchases. You agree to promptly update your account information, including email address and payment details, as needed.

 

We reserve the right to cancel or limit any reservation that we believe, in our sole judgment, to be fraudulent, duplicative, or placed by a reseller or distributor.

 

Section 7 - Third-Party Tools and Services

We may provide access to third-party tools and services through the Site, including payment processors, analytics providers, and marketing tools. We do not monitor or control these third-party tools and provide access to them on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranty or endorsement.

 

Your use of any third-party tools is at your own discretion and risk. We have no liability arising from your use of third-party tools offered through or linked from the Site.

 

Section 8 - Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site and do not endorse them. Section 9 - User Submissions and Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, or other materials to us, whether by email, form, or any other method, you agree that we may use those submissions without restriction, compensation, or obligation to maintain confidentiality. Do not submit proprietary information or materials you do not have the right to share.

 

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, edit, or remove any user-submitted content that we determine at our sole discretion to be unlawful, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.

 

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of anything you submit. We take no responsibility for user-submitted content.

Section 11 - Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions

The Site may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, or availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to update or cancel reservations if information is found to be inaccurate, without prior notice.

 

Section 12 - Prohibited Uses

In addition to restrictions stated elsewhere in these Terms, you may not use the Site or its content:

•       For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to engage in unlawful acts.

•       To violate any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation.

•       To infringe on our intellectual property rights or the rights of others.

•       To harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person on any basis.

•       To submit false or misleading information.

•       To upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any destructive code.

•       To collect or track the personal information of other users.

•       To spam, phish, scrape, or otherwise misuse the Site.

•       To interfere with or circumvent any security features of the Site.

 

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Site for any violation of these prohibited uses.

 

Section 13 - Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. The Site and all services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

 

RingOn is not an emergency response service and does not guarantee any safety outcome. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RingOn and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, suppliers, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, or replacement costs, arising from your use of the Site or our services. Because some states do not allow limitations on consequential or incidental damages, our liability in those states is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

 

Section 14 - Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RingOn and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, suppliers, and service providers from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

 

Section 15 - Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

 

Section 16 - Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated by either party. You may terminate your agreement with us by discontinuing use of the Site and notifying us at ring@myringon.com.

 

We may terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated any provision of these Terms. Any obligations or liabilities incurred prior to termination survive the termination of this agreement.

 

Section 17 - Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any other policies posted on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and RingOn regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements, whether oral or written.

 

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

 

Section 18 - Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Houston, Texas.

 

Section 19 - Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or replace these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
