How RingOn Works

Safety on Hand.

RingOn is being built to make signaling for help simpler. The ring gives you a button you can press from your hand, so the first step does not have to be finding and unlocking your phone.

The idea is simple.

You press the RingOn button. RingOn starts the safety action you have set up through the RingOn app. We are still finalizing the first release, including exactly how alerts, trusted contacts and emergency-response options will work.

Why the phone is still part of the first version.

For the first release, the ring is designed to work with the RingOn app on your phone. The important difference is that you should not have to reach for the phone to start asking for help.

What we will not do.

We will not advertise features as finished before they are finished. As the hardware and response infrastructure are finalized, we will update this page with the exact capabilities of the first production RingOn.
